We are a group of moms based in Hagerstown, Maryland, and the surrounding areas. We strive to provide a support system for moms and a safe environment for children to play. Our playgroup is FREE of charge & offers support, friendship and lots of fun & activities for parents & their child/children. We now have 2 groups for maximum fun! The infant/toddler group meets one weekday per week. The school age group meets at least 2 Saturdays per month during the school year and weekdays during the summer. Some of the children are special needs (speech delay, hearing impaired, mild autism, & other conditions that just need a little extra patience & understanding). There are siblings & members who are NOT special needs & ALL children may join. We currently have children in our group with ages up to 8 years old. Parents of all ages are welcomed.
We meet at various places. Some examples: Public pools, state parks, Cluggy's, FunCastle, public parks & pools, and Hagerstown Valley Mall. We try to plan one month ahead & pick fun things for the kids & mom's to enjoy. The playgroup is FREE except for admissions to events and or some locations. We make every effort to plan inexpensive activities & we take turns bringing drinks & snacks. It's a fun group! Please call Erin at the contact number or e-mail for further information. We are a community of over 400 Moms in Frederick, Montgomery, Carroll, and Washington counties - ALL types of Moms including those who work full-time. We chat online in a private message board discussing everything from the best photographers to the worst temper tantrums. We meet regularly at play dates, Mom's Night Out, and other fun events. This is a FREE resource and a chapter of The Mommies Network, a 501c(3) non-profit organization dedicated to helping moms find support and friendship in their local community.
