I came up with the idea for Matching Moms when my first child, Abigail, was 10 months old. I was inspired with the idea after meeting another mom down the street. I was amazed by how the quality of my days improved because it was easy to get together with her and her child. I loved having a nearby friend for myself and Abigail. I decided that it should be easier to meet nearby moms and their kids. So, my husband (Jason) and I talked about it and he decided he'd give web building a try. Luckily, he found out that he liked it and we were able to launch our site in June of 2000.

We've lived in Denver, Colorado for the past 10 years. I'm a former clinical social worker and Jason is a former lawyer, and now, a computer geek. We have a 6 year old girl and a 3 year old boy. I stay at home with my kids which I'm grateful to be able to do. Because of Matching Moms, I feel connected with the greater mom world and have a focus outside of my immediate friends and family.

Jason has done the bulk of the work on our website for the past several years. He has fixed glitches and responded to most of your e-mails. He does this in addition to a full-time job outside of the home and the equivalent of a full-time job being a very involved dad.

We have now been in operation for 5 years. This is a good time to see what's still working and what we can do to improve our site. Please give us your feedback We hope that our site has enriched your family's life.
